The batting numbers of Rohit Sharma in Test matches in South Africa continue to get worse as he was bowled for a duck by Kagiso Rabada in India’s second innings in the ongoing 1st Test in Centurion.
Sharma now averages only 12.8 after 10 innings in Test cricket in South Africa with no half-century, and only one score of more than 30.
Rabada had dismissed Rohit Sharam for 5 runs in the first innings. This is the 7th time that Kagiso Rabada has dismissed Rohit in Test cricket. While in the first innings it was a poor shot from Rohit – attacking a short ball with a mistimed pull shot, ending up getting caught at fine leg – in the second innings, he got a peach of a delivery from Rabada.
It was a corker of a ball from Rabada to peg back Rohit Sharma’s off-stump. After two back-of-length balls that Rohit tapped for dots, Rabada bowled a bit fuller and angled into the stumps, so Rohit had to play at it. But the ball, upon pitching on off and middle, seamed just a bit away to beat Rohit’s outside edge and blast into the off-stump. It was a dream ball from Rabada, who had dismissed Virat Kohli with a peach in the first innings as well.

Twitter erupted with memes and trolls of Rohit Sharma:
India are in a lot of trouble in Centurion and heading toward a loss. Dean Elgar scored 185 runs and Marco Jansen remained unbeaten on 84 as South Africa scored 408. Heading into Tea on Day 3, India have lost both openers, Rohit and Jaiswal, and Shubman Gill. Jaiswal was dismissed by Nandre Burger before Marco Jansen castled Shubman Gill with a yorker.
At Tea, India are still trailing by 101 runs and have 7 wickets in hand.
