Yuzvendra Chahal Revealed The Technical Changes He Made In 3rd T20I: After enduring two contrasting losses in the first two T20Is against South Africa, the Rishabh Pant-led Indian cricket team put up a clinical performance in the 3rd T20I match to get off the mark in the ongoing e five-match series against South Africa. As the action moved from Cuttack to Vizag, the Indian batters enjoyed the first dig after South Africa skipper Temba Bavuma won the toss and opted to bowl first.
Chahal Finds His Mojo
One of the biggest talking points from the game last night was the return of Chahal. Well, ahead of the series, everyone was eager to see IPL 2022 purple-cap holder – Yuzvendra Chahal’s performance in the game. However, in the first two games, he made a little impact with the ball returning with the figures of 0/26 and 1/49.
But, on Tuesday, Chahal finally found his mojo back and we saw the Chahal of 2016. Chahal’s sensational spell of 3/20 in the middle overs derailed the South African chase.
Yuzvendra Chahal revealed the technical changes he made in 3rd T20I
After the match, during the post-match conference, Yuzvendra Chahal revealed what other technical changes he made to get back amongst wickets. He revealed:
“I was bowling too many quick ones and quick sliders in the last game. I spoke to Paras sir and coaches about it. So I tried to bowl quick leg breaks, but with a different seam position today. I want to turn and dip the ball, I couldn’t do it the last time so they were able to hit through the line.”
Further, Chahal said that in the 3rd T20I he backed his strength, which was the classic leg spin, and said that he got some turn in the match, which is always useful for a wrist spinner. He said:
“I tried to get some turn and change the line of the ball. I was trying to bowl to my strengths today. When you get middle-order batsmen out in the middle overs, the pressure is on them. Batsmen try a lot of sweeps and reverse sweeps these days so we have to be prepared for that too, as bowlers. In the last game too there was some help for spinners but I didn’t bowl that well. The ground is big, thankfully in Rajkot,”
Meanwhile, with the win last night in the 3rd T20I match, the Indian cricket team has managed to stay alive in the ongoing 5-match series, however, in order to win the series, the Indian side will have to win all the remaining games.
