India vs Australia 2017, Fourth Test, Dharamshala: India’s ace spinner Ravichandran Ashwin broke yet another record, on Day 1 of the ongoing fourth Test match India and Australia at HPCA stadium in Dharamshala (Himachal Pradesh).

When Ashwin dismissed Australia’s captain Steve Smith, he became the bowler with most wickets in a Test season. He surpassed Dale Steyn’s tally of 78, which the South African speedster got in 2007-08 season. Smith was Ashwin’s 79th wicket of the season and he is now the holder of world record for most number of wickets is a Test season.
