India vs England 2016: MS Dhoni to be felicitated at Eden Gardens during 3rd ODI

Former Indian captain MS Dhoni will be felicitated during the third ODI against England at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on 22nd January. Dhoni made the decision to step down as India’s limited-overs captain last week. His announcement came as a big shock for his fans as they were waiting to see him lead the side in upcoming ODI series against England, which is scheduled to begin on 15th January.

The first warm-up match between India A and England at Cricket Club of India (CCI) in Mumbai was MS Dhoni’s last match as India’s captain. Fans turned in numbers to see him captain Team India for the last time in his career. The match was telecasted on STAR Sports and the entry was made free for the fans.

MS Dhoni will be felicitated by Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) when India will play England in the third match of the upcoming ODI series. Sourav Ganguly is the president of CAB and after this news came out, fans are hoping that Dada will make special arrangements to felicitate India’s greatest limited-overs captain.

“MS Dhoni will be felicitated in a fitting manner and we are planning to have it done by celebrated former India skipper Sunil Gavaskar. However we are yet to finalise the details,” according to a CAB official.
