Rishabh Pant impressed one and all with his outstanding display of batting in the Ranji Trophy 2016-17. Pant, playing for Delhi, batted with a lot of aggression in the Ranji Trophy and ended the season as Delhi’s leading run-scorer. He became the talk of the town after his marathon knock of 308 runs against Maharashtra, in which he smashed 42 fours and 9 sixes. He soon followed his marathon knock with another blistering hundred against Jharkhand which helped him earn a call-up to the India T20 squad for T20 Internationals against England.
Pant is now the squad for the upcoming series against England. He has earned his place by giving solid performances at the domestic level and now all eyes will be on him if he is picked in the playing XI. Indian Cricket Team’s official Facebook page uploaded a video of Pant’s nets session, in which he can be seen practising big shots. He bats with a lot of flair and is very easy on the eye.
