Indian Cricket Team’s Complete Schedule For 2023

Naman VyasBy Naman VyasUpdated:09/02/2023No Comments2 Mins Read

Team India are closing out the year 2022 on a positive note with a Test series 2-0 win in Bangladesh. However, before that the entire year had been filled with disappointment for the fans, questions raised on the team management, its leadership, and its plans as the fans suffered plenty of heartbreaks and frustrations of losing out important matches.

India started the year 2022 on a distressing note with the Test series and ODI series white-wash in South Africa; with that, the Indian team barely gained stability and solidity away from home.

Edgbaston Test lost, and lost the opportunity to win a Test series in England, the ODI and T20I series wins acted as a balm. Then came more heartbreaks: failures to reach the finals of the Asia Cup and T20 World Cup. To add salt to injury, India also lost the ODI series in Bangladesh and were close to losing the Dhaka Test too.

At home, though, India clean-swept everything, but outside they were found wanting.

2023 brings a lot of opportunities for Team India to right the wrongs from the year gone by and win the faith of the fans again.

India have a home ODI World Cup, and their best chance to win an ICC trophy again. Before that, they host 4 Tests vs Australia, a series crucial for them to reach the WTC final.

Here is Team India’s complete known schedule for 2023:

  • Jan 3-15 Sri Lanka tour of India for 3 T20Is, 3 ODIs
  • Jan 18-Feb1 New Zealand tour India for 3 ODIs, 3 T20Is
  • Feb 9-Mar 13 Australia tour India for 4 Tests, Border-Gavaskar Trophy
  • Mar 17-22 3 ODIs vs Australia
  • April-May-June 1 IPL 2023
  • July India tour of West Indies
  • Aug-Sep Asia Cup 2023 in Pakistan/UAE
  • 10 October – 26 November ICC Cricket World Cup in India
  • December-January 2024 India Tour of South Africa
