Australia’s opening batsman Usman Khawaja was roped in as a replacement for an injured Kevin Pietersen. Kevin Pietersen had injured his ankle on the field and had to limp his way out of the ground. He was later ruled out for the remainder of the season. Khawaja was expecting a rousing reception then he would’ve been left underwhelmed when his kit turned up — and on the back of his shirt his name was spelled ‘KHWAJA’.
When Rising Pune Supergiants announced a replacement for Kevin Pietersen after the latter suffered a calf injury, they had named Usman Khawaja into the squad. But if his jersey for the competition is to be believed, they’ve got a ‘Khwaja’ amongst them!
Aussie wicket-keeper batsman shared the new jersey with a typo of his name on Twitter alongside a new number ‘100’.
Looks like Pune were expecting ‘Khwaja’ to come play. I better go home ?. #typo #pune #IPL #india #cricket #delhi pic.twitter.com/fdkcSph7TM
