IPL 2017: Mumbai Indians defeated Rising Pune Supergiant in the final of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 and became the first team in tournament’s history to win three seasons. It was an absolute nail-bitter in Hyderabad on Sunday, between MI and RPS as momentum kept changing sides throughout the match.
During the match, an old lady was shown again and again on the giant screen during the last phase of Rising Pune Supergiant’s innings and Twitteratis credited her for Mumbai Indians victory. It was clear that the adorable old lady was praying for Mumbai Indians because she was sitting in MI’s box, but there was confusion among Twitterattis about who she is. She kept praying with folded handed hands throughout the last phase of the match and her prayers were answered as Mumbai Indians lifted the title.
However, the adorable old lady was identified and there was even confirmation from none other Abhishek Bachchan, who responded to a tweet, saying, “That is Mrs. Ambani’s mother. Popularly referred to as “nani”. The lucky charm.”

Here are some of the funniest tweets on Mrs Ambani’s mother’s whole-hearted effort, which, according to Twitterastis, led to Mumbai Indians’ victory.
To be honest Mumbai Indians won because of this old lady’s Prayer.#IPLfinal #IPL #RisingPuneSupergiant #RSPVSMI #RPSvsMI #RPSvMI pic.twitter.com/WxzfYHFVpu
