Indian batsmen have been in outstanding form in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2018). These days, young batters don’t show too much respect to bowlers in T20 cricket and believe in expressing themselves right from the first ball of the game.
Well, we can’t blame them too much because T20 is a very shot format and everything happens very quickly in the middle. One good (or bad) over can change the complexion of the game and this is why ‘big hitting’ has become a very important aspect of batting in T20 cricket.
In IPL 2018, Indian batsmen, both young and established, have been in outstanding form. The likes of MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and others have scored runs consistently for their teams and contributed in winning causes. The young wicketkeeper-batsman from Kerela returned to his favourite IPL franchise Rajasthan Royal and made an impact straight away. He is one of the leading run scorers of IPL 2018 so far and has impressed one and all with his dynamic display of batting.
5) Hardik Pandya
Hardik Pandya is one of the most exciting all-rounders in world cricket. In IPL 2018, he has made a couple of good contributions with his bat and ball. Pandya’s career picked pace only after his good performances in IPL for Mumbai Indians.
6) Shreyas Iyer
The young captain of Delhi Daredevils in red-hot form in IPL 2018. He is one of the leading run scorers and has been anchoring Delhi’s batting department from number 3 position. After his good show in IPL 2018, many fans and pundits believe that he has made a very strong case for himself for selection in the national team.
