IPL 2022: What a dramatic game this was! Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals suffered their first defeat of the ongoing 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League at the hands of Royal Challengers Bangalore, who registered their second win of the season.

From being at 48 for 0 in the Powerplay to then being at 88 for 5 wickets at the end of 13 overs, to winning the game with 5 balls to spare, the just-concluded game witnessed many twists and turns.

Well, as the game began, RCB won the toss and opted to bowl at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The team was looking for some control before Yuzvendra Chahal came to give some trouble to his former team.

Chahal took some crucial wickets of Faf du Plessis and Willy, while skipper Sanju Samson pulled a sensational run-out of former RCB captain Virat Kohli. Chahal finished with figures of 2-15 in his four overs.

Eventually, it was keeper-batter Dinesh Karthik who stepped up for the team third time in a row and gave a solid exhibition of his finishing skills to take his side home. Dinesh Karthik remained unbeaten till the last ball with a score of 44 in 23 balls and was well supported by Shahbaz Ahmed, who played a flamboyant knock of 45 in just 26 balls. The team was able to chase down the target of 169 runs with 5 balls to spare.

Earlier, riding on the stunning performance of Buttler (70 runs) and Shimron Hetmyer (41 runs), the team posted a target of 169 runs, however, the bowlers failed to defend RCB from chasing down the target.
