Mad, mad, mad hitting by the openers of Lucknow Super Giants — Quinton de Kock and KL Rahul as they made a mockery of Kolkata Knight Riders’ bowlers by smashing 210 runs without losing a single wicket in 20 overs.
As the game kickstarted, LSG captain KL Rahul opted to bat first and the decision turned out to be great for the Lucknow-based franchise. KL Rahul and de Kock joined hands and smashed the KKR bowlers to all the corners of the ground.
Quinton de Kock brought up his second IPL century in the game against Kolkata Knight Riders in the ongoing 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League. He played some stunning shots on his way up to a scintillating century. His last IPL century had come in IPL 2016 for the Delhi Daredevils, six years ago.
QDK brought up his century with a square cut against Andre Russell in the backward point area. Not just this, de Kock remained unbeaten on 140 runs off just 70 balls to take his side to a mammoth total of 210 runs. His stunning knock was laced with ten sixes and as many fours ten sixes and as many fours. Also, LSG’s 210/0 is the best opening partnership in the history of the league.
