Shimron Hetmyer played a stellar knock for his team Rajasthan Royals, who are taking against Sunrisers Hyderabad in their first game of the ongoing 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League at MCA stadium in Pune.
Sunrisers Hyderabad’s captain Kane Williamson won the toss and chose to bowl first. os Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal gave a flying start to Rajasthan Royals, adding 58 runs in 6 overs. While Yashasvi fell for 20 in 16 balls, on the other hand, Buttler carried on to make 35 with 3 fours and 3 sixes before being dismissed by Umran Malik.
Following this Rajasthan Royals’ captain, Sanju Samson carried the assault with 55 runs in just 27 balls with 5 sixes and 3 fours to his name, before he was dismissed by Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s delivery caught by Abdul Samad near the boundary. Devdutt Padikkal also played a stunning knock, as he scored 41 in 29 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes.
However, the knock that stole all the limelight came from West Indian Shimron Hetmyer, who gave a perfect finish to RR’s innings. Shimron made everyone sit on the edge of their seats as he smashed 32 runs off just 13 balls with 3 sixes and 2 fours to his name.
Hetmyer’s stellar knock came to an end when T Natarajan bowled his perfect yorker and Hetmyer missed his shot in the last over of the RR innings.
