IPL 2022: Amit Mishra Sent A Strong Message For Virat And Rohit Fans

Amit Mishra Sent A Strong Message For Virat And Rohit Fans: Veteran India leg-spinner has urged the fans to show their full support to both India skipper Rohit Sharma and former captain Virat Kohli as both the stalwarts are going through a rough patch in the IPL 2022.

Kohli has bagged two golden ducks in his last two innings; Rohit has scores of 0 and 6 in his last couple of knocks. Both are having an appalling time with the bat in the IPL 2022.

Although Sharma had got three solid starts in previous matches, he’s failed to convert any of them into a big score, with his best being 41. He has scored a total of 114 runs in 7 innings at a poor average of 16.28 while striking at 126. His average is the second-worst of all the MI batters – a tad above Pollard’s 16 – who have played a minimum of 4 innings this season. Rohit’s poor form has been reflected in MI losing all 7 matches so far.

While RCB are doing well as a team – sitting in the upper half of the points table – Kohli’s batting rut is hurting him and his side. In 8 innings so far, the former RCB captain has managed 119 runs, at an average of 17 – this is Kohli’s worst season average since 2008 when he averaged 15 – and striking at 122.

Kohli’s average of 17 is only better than youngsters Anuj Rawat and Suyash Prabhudessai of all the RCB batters who have batted in at least 4 innings. Both Rohit and Kohli are yet to notch up a half-century this season.

Both the Indian superstars are being trolled mercilessly on social media for their disappointing form with the bat.

Amit Mishra has asked the fans to keep backing them in their time of need as both have previously shown that they can work hard and bounce back strongly.

“They might not be performing today, but one must not forget how hard both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli practice and that is the reason they are still the best batsmen today. So let’s support our champions when they need it the most,” Amit Mishra tweeted.
