IPL 2022 Commentators: The IPL 2022, which is the 15th edition of the biggest and richest cricket league in the world, is set to commence this Saturday as defending champions Chennai Super Kings take on the team they defeated in the final last year, Kolkata Knight Riders.
Fans have been left excited about the commentators who will add their voices to the game bringing you the mouth-watering cricket for the next couple of months.
Former India head coach, Ravi Shastri, who is known as amongst the finest ever commentators, is set to make his return to the commentary box after his stint with the national side got over last year.
Also, former India and CSK batsman Suresh Raina is reported that he will make his debut in the IPL as a commentator. Raina had gone unsold in the mega-auction last month having been released by CSK after last season.
The commentators are responsible for analyzing the game in a simpler way capable of being understood by the audience, and also keeping them updated with the happenings during the game. It’s a high-profile and important job in the IPL; hence, they are paid handsomely for it by the broadcasters.
Apart from the regular English, Hindi, and the Dugout feeds, the broadcasters will also air the games in a number of regional languages such as Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Bengali.
It has also been learned that since a new team from Gujarat – Gujarat Titans – is added, the broadcasters are also pondering over having a separate feed of Gujarati language. The commentators of the Gujarati language are not finalized yet.

The salaries of the commentators of three languages are available and are as follows: for English commentators, the salary ranges from $250,000 to $500,000; for Hindi commentators, the salary range is from $80,000 to $350,000; and for the Dugout panel, the salary range is from $500,000 to $700,000.
