Washington Sundar is all set to make his comeback into the Indian Premier League and this time he will make his debut for Sunrisers Hyderabad. He will be seen in action in the upcoming 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League, after a long injury lay-off.
Sunrisers Hyderabad endured the worst season in the 2021 edition of the IPL as they finished at the bottom of the points table last year, winning just three out of 14 games. Thus before coming into the IPL 2022, the franchise made a string of changes.
Among the string of changes, SRH was keen to get the services of Washington Sundar. SRH joined the bidding fight after Sundar’s price touched the 7.75 crore mark. He was eventually roped in by Sunrisers Hyderabad for INR 8.75 crore.
Earlier, Washington Sundar was a part of Royal Challengers Bangalore from IPL 2018 to 2022. After having spent 4 seasons at RCB, the Bangalore-based franchise probably holds a special place in his heart.
Recently, during an interaction with SRH’s star T Natarajan, Sundar was asked if SRH is better than RCB or not? Responding to this, Sundar came up with a hilarious response and said that SRH is better.
“So do you miss RCB, or is this better?” T Natarajan asked. Sundar responded by saying, “This is very good”.
