Former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan was left in awe of SunRisers Hyderabad batter Rahul Tripathi, who stole the show with his batting heroics during a match against Kolkata Knight Riders in the Match 25 of the ongoing 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League.
Rahul Tripathi, who has played for Kolkata Knight Riders in the past, did no mercy while smashing the bowlers of his former team. Rahul walked into bat at number 3 position, when the team had already lost the important wickets of the skipper Kane Williamson and Abhishek Sharma early in the innings.

However, Tripathi held the game tight as he played a responsible game. He smashed the bowlers to all the corners of the ground, especially Varun Chakravarthy, to whom he smashed him for one four and two back-to-back maximums.
Tripathi scored his eighth half-century of the tournament as he played a stunning knock of 71 runs off 37 balls before he was dismissed by Andre Russel.
Meanwhile, the cricketer has been receiving praises from all corners for his terrific performance with the bat. Among many, former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan, who is a part of the star-studded commentary panel of Star Sports for IPL 2022, also took to his Twitter and hailed Tripathi.
In his Tweet, Irfan Pathan expressed his admiration for Rahul and also hailed him as the ‘most impressive uncapped batter’. He wrote:

Riding on Rahul Tripathi’s knock, SunRisers Hyderabad was able to register their third consecutive win after suffering a horrible start to the season. They are now sitting on 7th position of the IPL 2022 points table, with 3 wins and 2 defeats.
