Two brothers are all set to lock horns against each other as two new Indian Premier League franchises — Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans are facing each other at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. After having represented Mumbai Indians in the IPL for several years, the Pandya brothers – Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya are facing each other in the high-voltage game tonight.
The duo was released by Mumbai Indians ahead of the IPL 2022 mega-auctions. While Hardik Pandya was roped in by new outfit Gujarat Titans (GT) ahead of the mega auction as their skipper, on the other hand, Krunal Pandya was acquired by Lucknow Super Giants for Rs 8.25 crore during the IPL 2022 Auction.
Over the years, the Pandya brothers have given many memorable performances for the Mumbai-based franchises. This will be the first time that Hardik Pandya will be playing against his brother Krunal Pandya in IPL history.
Meanwhile, ahead of their first match for different franchises, Mumbai Indians via their official Twitter handle penned a beautiful tweet for Pandya brothers. MI wrote:
