In the past 4-5 years, Dinesh Karthik has totally changed his game, in terms of batting, and established himself as one of the best finishers, in the last phase of his long career. In IPL 2022, Karthik is playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), and he played an absolute blinder of a knock in the match against Rajasthan Royals.
Dinesh Karthik came in to bat when RCB had lost 4 wickets, and they were in a spot of bother. But, Karthik didn’t waste any time after reaching the crease and started smashing boundaries in his trademark style, and turned the match in his side’s favour.
He was supported brilliantly by Shahbaz Ahmed, who entertained the fans with his unorthodox stroke play and smashed Rajasthan Royals’ bowlers, including Trent Boult, all across the park. Shahbaz scored 45 runs off 26 balls and put RCB in a very strong position before getting dismissed to Trent Boult in the 18th over.
But, Karthik kept his end steady and took RCB to a much-needed win in IPL 2022. It was an innings that had class and experience written all over it. Karthik scored 44 runs off 23 balls and sealed the game for RCB from a very difficult position.
