Suresh Raina Sent A Special Message For Faf: Former Chennai Super Kings player Faf du Plessis has been named as the new captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore. He will be seen in a new avatar and will be looking forward to leading the franchise to their first-ever win in the upcoming season.
After staying in quarantine for days, Faf du Plessis along with other players have started their practice session. The veteran batter was roped in by the franchise for INR 7 crore in the IPL 2022 mega-auction and he has now replaced Virat Kohli as the captain of the franchise. Virat Kohli had stepped down from the captaincy duties after the end of the previous season.
Meanwhile, expressing his happiness, du Plessis took to his social media and shared an Instagram reel of himself in the Red and Black color of the RCB. Sharing the video, he wrote:
“So grateful to have an opportunity to be preparing for another IPL season. Really looking forward to it all… Lets go !!”
The Instagram post went viral in no time and was flooded with amazing reactions from the fans to it. While CSK fans wished him luck for his future role in the RCB camp, on the other hand, the RCB fans celebrated the decision taken by the team management of the RCB. Among many, former Indian cricketers and world cup heroes, Suresh Raina also came up with a special message for his teammate.

For the unversed, Suresh Raina, who was the member of the Chennai Super Kings squad that won IPL 2021 a few months ago, will not be playing in the upcoming 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League. This will be the first time, ever since the inception of the IPL that the IPL legend won’t be participating in the league.
Meanwhile, CSK will kickstart their IPL 2022 with a solid opening match against Kolkata Knight Riders in the series opener on March 26th.
