IPL 2022: Suresh Raina Sent A Subtle Message To His Critics

Former Indian and Chennai Super Kings’ superstar Suresh Raina is known for aiding the Indian cricket team to its World Cup 2011 glory and for playing a crucial role in helping Chennai Super Kings’ win the prestigious IPL trophy four times.

He is often hailed as ‘Mr.IPL’ for his terrific record in the Indian Premier League. He is the first Indian player to score 6000 as well as 8000 runs in a Twenty20 career and also the first one to reach 5,000 runs in IPL. Not just this, the cricketer also holds the record for scoring the most 50+ scores in Champions League T20 history.

However, the stylish batter was left unsold at the IPL 2022 mega-auctions as he did not find a franchise, and for the first time in his IPL career, Raina won’t play in an IPL season. Ever since the IPL snub, the cricketer has found himself at the receiving end of criticism. There are many who believe that his IPL career is finished now and Raina should take retirement from the IPL as well.

Meanwhile, Suresh Raina, who is very active on his social media, shared a cryptic message via his official Twitter account. He took to his Twitter and shared a subtle message for his critics as he shared a video of himself, working out in the morning. Sharing the video, he wrote:

There is nothing more soothing than the sound of water. Morning workout done! Ready for the day”

Though, Raina won’t play in the IPL 2022, he can be seen in IPL 2022 but it will be off the pitch. As per a report in Dainik Jagran newspaper, Star Sports have reportedly roped in the CSK superstar for their Hindi commentary team. He will be seen in action in the commentary box alongside former Indian head coach Ravi Shastri.
