IPL 2022: Wasim Jaffer’s Tweet On Yashasvi Jaiswal’s 103m Six Goes Viral

Rajasthan Royals opener Yashasvi Jaiswal is finding his form in the IPL 2022 after returning to the eleven. The youngster was dropped after three failures at the start of the season and was recalled to the eleven after a month on the bench. He immediately repaid the faith with a match-winning fifty versus Punjab Kings.

Today, on Sunday, he continued his fine form and smashed 41 runs off 29 balls against Lucknow Super Giants at the Brabourne Stadium. His knock was laced with 6 fours and a gigantic six that measured 103 metres off the bowling of fast bowler Dushmantha Chameera!

Looking to bounce out the 20-year-old, Chameera went short but Jaiswal was quick in picking up the length and rocking on the back foot. Though he presents a diminutive and slim figure, Jaiswal does packs a punch.

Jaiswal picked the bones out of Chameera’s short ball, swivelled his body around through his fierce pull shot and deposited the ball way over the deep square leg boundary. It went high in the air and also travelled a long distance – 103 metres – so much that the ball went on the roof and over it out of the stadium!

Fans, in the ground and on social media, were left gasping by Jaiswal’s superb six. Among many, Wasim Jaffer, the former India batsman who is now famous for his witty meme game, came up with a hilarious tweet.

In a reaction to Jaiswal’s six off Dushmantha Chameera, Wasim Jaffer, flaunting his pun game, tweeted: “Chameera ko kyu maara? Jaiswal: Dushmantha?” (Hindi word Dushmantha translates to enemy in English)

Here is Wasim Jaffer’s tweet that got the fans in splits:

Despite losing Jos Buttler for just 2 runs, Jaiswal freely played his strokes to his way to 41 off 29 balls. Skipper Sanju Samson made a solid 32 in just 24 balls while Devdutt Padikkal played a breezy knock of 18-ball 39. Camoes from Parag, Neesham, Ashwin, and Boult helped RR to 178.
