The IPL 2023 auction is just over a month away; the BCCI and the IPL governing council have finalized to conduct the IPL 2023 mini-auction on December 23 in Kochi. The deadline for submitting the list of the released and retained players for all 10 IPL franchises is 5 PM on November 15.
This year it will be a mini-auction and a one-day affair, as opposed to the mega-auction and a two-day event it was last time. Then, the 8 original squads were revamped and a couple of new teams were added to the tournament. Now, teams don’t have to release and buy a lot of players.
Since this is a mini-auction, all 10 franchises will have the opportunity to retain as many players as they wish, of course, adhering to the maximum limit of 25 players in the squad and a maximum of 8 overseas players.
Who are the owners of the IPL franchises in IPL 2023?

The owners of all the 10 IPL franchises are some of the biggest, richest, and most revered names in the business industry in the world. The owners – individual or multiple investors – are the biggest stakeholders in the IPL who claim the profits.

In addition to the leftover money from the last mega-auction, each franchise can increase its purse value by releasing and trading players out.
