24-year-old England batting all-rounder Will Jacks has got his has had a dream day as he was sold for INR 3.2 crore, a little more than double of his base price of 1.5 crore, at the IPL 2023 auction, which happened on Friday in Kochi.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore bagged the services of Will Jacks. He is another of the exciting talents from England who got the attraction of the IPL franchises.

Jacks recently made his Test debut in England’s historic 3-0 Test series win in Pakistan. He claimed a 6-wicket haul in the Rawalpindi Test.

When it comes to T20 cricket, Will Jacks, a right-handed top-order batter and an off-spinner, has a good amount of experience. He has featured in 102 T20 matches, including 2 T20Is for England, wherein he averages 29 with the bat and, importantly, has a strike rate of 154.

It seems like RCB has picked up Will Jacks as a backup for Glenn Maxwell who is currently on a long injury layoff after breaking his foot.
