A total of 25 players have set their base price of INR 2 crore, out of which there are only 4 Indians, and rest are mostly Australian and England players.
The BCCI has shared the list of over 1100 players with the IPL franchises who have registered themselves for the IPL 2024 Auction. Of these 1,166 players, the IPL franchises will return the names they wish to see in the IPL 2024 Auction, and this list is expected to be trimmed down to 300-400 players.
The 10 franchises have a total of 77 available spots, 30 of which can be taken by overseas players. The IPL 2024 auction is scheduled for December 19 in Dubai. This is the first time that an IPL auction will be held outside India.
4 Indian players in the INR 2 crore base price category in IPL 2024 Auction:

Among the 1,166 players who have registered their names for IPL 2024 Auction, 830 are Indian players. Out of these, only 18 are capped players – that is those who have made their international debuts for India in any format. And out of these 18, only 4 Indian players have placed themselves in the INR 2 crore bracket, which is the highest category. The other 14 capped Indian players are in the INR 50 lakh base price category.
The 4 Indian cricketers in the INR 2 crore base price bracket are Harshal Patel, Kedar Jadhav, Shardul Thakur, and Umesh Yadav.
Harshal Patel was released by RCB, Kedar Jadhav by SRH, Shardul Thakur and Umesh Yadav by KKR.
7 Australian players from the World Cup 2023 winning squad are part of this 2 crore base price category, including Mitchell Starc and Travis Head. Starc will return to the IPL after 2015 and Head after 2017. Steve Smith, who opted out of IPL 2023, returns to the fold as well. There are 7 Englishmen as well in this highest bracket, along with three South Africans.
