Pakistan opener Imam-ul-Haq has revealed an interesting and hilarious anecdote involving Virat Kohli and Agha Salman.
Speaking on a podcast in Pakistan, Imam-ul-Haq revealed that after Virat Kohli’s epic fight with Naveen-ul-Haq and Gautam Gambhir during the IPL 2023 season in Lucknow, Pakistan batsman Agha Salman, who is a big fan of Virat Kohli, texted the Indian star on Instagram to calm down a bit on the field.
Kohli and Naveen had a huge verbal tussle during and after their IPL 2023 match in Lucknow. It also spilled over social media where the two teased each other a littile bit on Instagram stories.
Naveen was getting trolled a lot on social media and in the Indian grounds in the early part of the World Cup 2023. But Virat Kohli and Naveen patched up during their World Cup game in Delhi. They shook hands, smiled and even embraced a warm hug.
Now, Imam-ul-Haq, who was dropped from Pakistan’s playing XI during the World Cup, has revealed that middle-order batsman Agha Salman texted Kohli on Instagram after his fight with Naveen, asking the RCB star to calm down.

After the World Cup, Naveen-ul-Haq revealed what Virat Kohli told him during their patch-up encounter in Delhi. The Afghanistan pacer said that Kohli assured him that the crowd wouldn’t taunt him from now on after their handshake and hug.
“He said, ‘finish it?’, I said, ‘Yes, let’s finish it’ so we we laughed about it, we hugged and we moved on. He said, ‘Now after this, you won’t hear my name’ or something he said [and that], ‘You’ll only get support from the crowd’. I said yeah (smiles),” Naveen-ul-Haq said in a video posted by LSG.
Meanwhile, Kohli has taken a break from the white-ball leg of the South Africa tour this month. The 35-year-old will play in the 2 Tests against Temba Bavuma’s team.
