IPL 2024: "Fighters Can Never Be Denied" - Suresh Raina's Emotional Tweet For Rishabh Pant's Fifty vs CSK

After being scratchy in his first two innings on his comeback in IPL 2024, Rishabh Pant delivered a very Pant-esque innings against CSK on Sunday night in Vizag.

The Delhi Capitals captain smoked 4 fours and 3 sixes in his sizzling knock of 51 runs in 32 balls in Vizag that propelled DC’s total to 191, which proved too much for even CSK to climb as Delhi bowled very well to defend it by a considerable margin.

Pant’s initiation in the IPL 2024 was tough. He managed 46 runs in two innings at a strike rate of 117. But he did get better in the second innings than in the first innings. And on Sunday, he was even better.

Pant got a great platform from the openers David Warner and Prithvi Shaw, as the pair put up an opening stand of 93 runs in 9.3 overs. However, both Shaw and Warner got out in quick succession, meaning that Rishabh Pant couldn’t go hammer and tongs early on. He even saw Marsh and Stubbs get bowled by Pathirana.

Once he got his eye in, Rishabh Pant attacked the CSK bowlers and in some style for a total of 7 boundaries, one of which was a sensational, trademark one-handed six from the left-hander.

“He’s back and he means business”: Suresh Raina on Rishabh Pant

Rishabh Pant’s friend and former India cricketer Suresh Raina posted an epic, and emotional tweet, for the brilliant fifty by the Delhi Capitals skipper.

Raina tweeted. “He’s back and he means business. Fighters can be delayed, they can never be denied. Keep going strong my brother ❤️ @RishabhPant17″

CSK are struggling in their chase at the score of 120/6 at the start of the 17th over. It would need a miracle from Jadeja and Dhoni to pull this chase off from this point.
