IPL 2024: "One Thing You Should Know" - Hardik Pandya Tweets A Powerful Message For MI Fans

Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya has tweeted a strong, bold, and powerful message for the MI fans following their loss against Rajasthan Royals.

MI have had their usual slow start to an IPL campaign with three losses in their first three games – the only team to yet not register a win and are sitting at the bottom of the points table.

The talking point, though, has been the boos that Hardik Pandya, who replaced Rohit Sharma as MI captain, got from the Wankhede crowd, which prompted commentator Sanjay Manjrekar to ask the crowd to “behave”.

MI suffered a terrible loss. They managed only 125 runs while batting first as Trent Boult, Burger, and Chahal rattled them through pace, swing, and guile of their own. Then Riyan Parag smashed a half-century as RR won with 27 balls to spare.

“We’ll keep fighting”: Hardik Pandya sends a message to MI fans

The next day, Hardik Pandya took to his social media to send a strong message to the MI fans.

Pandya wrote, “If there’s one thing you should know about this team, we never give up. We’ll keep fighting, we’ll keep going.”

IPL 2024: "I Needed To Do..." - Hardik Pandya Takes The Blame On Himself After MI Suffered Yet Another Defeat

Pandya did get loud cheers when he was batting. After MI were in early trouble at 20/4, their captain cracked 6 fours in his innings in his innings of 34 (21). However, he holed out at long-on when trying to muscle Chahal for a sixer. He didn’t bowl last night.

Speaking after the loss, Hardik Pandya said, “Yes, a tough night, we didn’t start the way we wanted to start. I wanted to counter, we were in a decent position to get us around 150-160, but my wicket allowed them to get back more into the game, I needed to do a lot more. It’s okay, we didn’t expect such a surface, but you can’t always have it as a batter, it’s nice at times for the bowlers to have a say. It’s all about doing the right things, (correct) results happen at times, at some other times it doesn’t. As a group, we believe we can do a lot better, but we need to be a bit more disciplined and show a lot more courage.”
