IPL 2024: R Ashwin Picks Two Stars Who Will Breach Rs 14 Crore Mark

R Ashwin Picks Two Stars Who Will Breach Rs 14 Crore Mark

Ashwin, who plays for the Rajasthan Royals, shared his thoughts on social media, indicating that the duo’s success in the Cricket World Cup 2023 on Indian soil could lead to significant bids. He also speculated on the auction, suggesting that released all-rounder Shahrukh Khan might engage in a competitive bidding war, with a potential price range between INR 10 and 14 crores.

In his predictions, Ashwin indicated that bids for Rachin Ravindra could fall in the range of INR 4 to 7 crores. For pacer Harshal Patel, he anticipated bids between INR 7 and 10 crores, placing Gerald Coetzee in the same bracket as Harshal. Ashwin’s expectations for Rovman Powell suggested a bidding range of INR 4 to 7 crores.

Ashwin’s surprising prediction was for World Cup hero Travis Head, whom he believes may not receive a bid higher than INR 4 crores. On the other hand, he anticipated a higher amount for veteran India fast bowler Umesh Yadav, expecting bids in the range of INR 4 to 7 crores.

Ashwin took to his Instagram handle to share a video where he used cricketing shots to symbolize different price ranges. In an innovative approach, he assigned these shots to represent the potential bids for players who have been under discussion in the lead-up to the IPL auction over the past week.

Ashwin’s price range according to shots:

Defense: 2 -4 crores
Drive: 4 to 7 crores
Pull: 7 to 10 crores
Slog: 10-14 crores
Helicopter shot: 14+ crores
