One of the largest sporting events in the world is the Indian Premier League. Almost every cricket player hopes to one day take part in the IPL. Players who can score significant runs in overs 16–20 have historically been in high demand in the IPL.

The batters attempt to take the greatest chances during these death overs. In the IPL, there is always a need for the batsmen who score the most sixes and reap the greatest benefits. Speaking of death over experts, here is a list of the top four batters in the history of the IPL in terms of sixes hit in overs 16 to 20.

MI legend Kieron Pollard announces retirement from international cricket | Business Standard News

Kieron Pollard is an absolute legend of the Indian Premier League. The big-hitting Mumbai Indians all-rounder has smashed 160 sixes in the death overs. His brilliance in the last phase of the innings, has been one of the most significant factors behind Mumbai Indians’ success in the IPL.

2. AB de Villiers – 140 sixes

Former Royal Challengers Bangalore batter AB de Villiers is the second name on this list with 140 sixes to his name. Mr. 360 has resigned from all cricket competitions, including the IPL, even though he could have reached the 150-sixes mark in the slog overs.

1. MS Dhoni – 166 sixes

MS Dhoni, a former captain of the Chennai Super Kings, has batted 153 times and blasted 166 balls over the fence in the final five overs. The wicket-keeper batter hit one of them tonight against the Lucknow Super Giants fast bowler Avesh Khan at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. Most likely, Dhoni’s record won’t be surpassed.
