India will be participating in the Asian Games 2023, to be held in China in September-October, for which The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced their squad for both men’s and women’s teams.
The BCCI will be sending a first-choice women’s team, led by Harmanpreet Kaur, but a second-string men’s side, led by Ruturaj Gaikwad, will play in the 2023 Asian Games as the first-choice squad, captained by Rohit Sharma, will be playing in the World Cup 2023 at the same time.
Cricket at the Asia Games will be played in T20 format from September 28 to October 8. All the cricket matches in the 2023 Games will be played at the Zhejiang University of Technology Pingfeng Cricket Field in Hangzhou, the People’s Republic of China.
The jersey for Team India’s Asian campaign was leaked on Saturday this week. India’s jersey for the Asia Games is significantly different from what the players wear in international cricket.
