England’s ace fast bowler James Anderson picked his 500th Test wicket in the second innings of the ongoing Test match against West Indies. Anderson, who has been England’s best fast bowler in the last decade or so, bowled an absolute jaffa to pick his 500th Test wicket.

James Anderson bowled a brilliant in-swinging delivery to Kraigg Brathwaite and became the first England bowler to take 500 wickets in Test cricket. Anderson is only the sixth bowler, and third seamer, to claim 500 wickets in Test cricket.

James Anderson’s biggest ability is to swing the bowl a long way, irrespective of the playing conditions. But, when he plays in England, where conditions are more favourable for swing bowling, he is almost unplayable at times.

In his long, glorious career, James Anderson has troubled some of the best batsmen in the world. From Sachin Tendulkar to Michael Clarke, Anderson got better off most of the batsmen he bowled and still continues to do so.

Anderson took wickets in the first innings and he was stuck on 499 Test wickets. And, the big crowd at Lord’s was right behind him on almost every delivery he bowled till he claimed his 500th Test scalp. Watch the video here:
