All eyes on Bumrah:
Jasprit Bumrah has been an integral part of the Indian cricket team, however, despite attempts to rush him back into action for the World T20, his participation only increased his injury woes during a home series against Australia. This unfortunate turn of events resulted in Bumrah missing out on significant tournaments like the Asia Cup, the T20 World Cup 2022, and the entire IPL 2023 season.
His recurring back injuries required surgeries, which were successfully performed in Christchurch, New Zealand. He was recovering from the same at the NCA in Bengaluru for the last few months.
But Jasprit Bumrah will now be seen back in action for the first time since September 2022. All eyes are on the pace spearhead as his performances will be monitored as the Indian team management is keen on having Bumrah in the Asia Cup 2023 and ODI World Cup 2023 squads despite his 11-month-long injury layoff.
