England’s hopes of lifting their first-ever European championship trophy were shattered on Sunday at the Wembley Stadium in London. Well, after a thrilling contest that went to the penalty shootouts, England lost the match 2-3 on penalties with Marcus Rashford, Buyako Saka, and Jadon Sancho missing their strikes.
Italy won its first European Championship in 1968. England’s hope of winning a first major trophy in 55 years was shattered into pieces after Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka failed to beat Gianluigi Donnarumma in the shootout.
New Zealand all-rounder James Neesham, who is known for a hilarious sense of humor and savage tweets, took a cheeky dig at England after the team’s Euro final defeat vs Italy in the penalty shootout. Jimmy took to his Twitter and referred to New Zealand’s World Cup 2019 final defeat, which was decided based on the number of boundaries hit by each time.
After England’s defeat, Neesham came up with a hilarious tweet and asked if the Euro 202 final could be decided by counting the passes made by each team. He wrote:
“Why is it a penalty shootout and not just whoever made the most passes wins? #joking,”

For the unversed, the England cricket team defeated New Zealand in a thrilling final on boundary count to clinch their first-ever 50-over World Cup trophy. Jimmy Neesham was also part of the New Zealand cricket team that missed their chance of lifting the prestigious World Cup trophy at the Lord’s balcony because of their inferior boundary count after the Super Overs ended in ties.
