Watch: Jos Buttler Reacts After R Ashwin Gives ‘Mankad’ Warning To Shikhar Dhawan

India’s senior spinner R Ashwin, who is currently plying his trade for Rajasthan Royals in the ongoing 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League, is notoriously known for running batsmen out in the non-striker’s end or for at least threatening to do so. As RR’ is currently locking horns with Shikhar Dhawan-led Punjab Kings at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati, Ashwin was at it again.

R Ashwin Warns Shikhar Dhawan And Jos Buttler Reacts

Jos Buttler R Ashwin

The incident took place during the 7th over of the PBKS innings, when Ashwin was about to bowl the third ball. PBKS captain Shikhar Dhawan, who was at the non-striker’s end just stepped away from his crease and Ashwin stopped bowling midway, and turned towards the stumps, as he gestured to run out the PBKS captain at the non-striker’s end.

Making the moment funnier, the cameraman then immediately showed Buttler, who Ashwin had infamously run out at the non-striker’s end in IPL 2019.

The video of the same has been going viral on the internet, watch it here:

Throwback:

Ashwin, who was playing for Punjab Kings back then had dismissed Jos Buttler at the non-striker’s end in IPL 2019. Chasing 185 runs, Buttler was keeping the Royals in the contest single-handedly against the Ashwin-led Punjab side.

However, after getting dismissed by Ashwin at the non-strikers’ end, Buttler had to walk back to the pavilion after playing a knock of 69 off 43 balls. That moment to date is the most controversial and talked about/debated whether it is within the ‘Spirit of Cricket’ or not.

Was Ashwin right to 'Mankad' Jos Buttler?
