After losing the five-match T20I series by Team India, Kane Williamson led the New Zealand cricket team bounced back with a brilliant form and completely white-washed Team India to seal the just-concluded ODI series by 3-0. The New Zealanders outperformed India in all the three departments of the game.
After defeating India by five wickets in the third ODI, the skipper of New Zealand’s cricket team, Kane Williamson talked about many things. Kane Williamson said that the team will be carrying their brilliant form in the upcoming Test series as well. He said:
“It is a different format but there are some parts that I guess guys will get confidence from, going into that series. So, the focus does change and the guys are looking forward to that,”
Talking about the five-match T20I white-wash by Team India, Kane Williamson said it is a part and parcel of the game. He said:
“It is always disappointing when you lose, you always want to win but there are a heap of good things throughout that T20 series. We all saw the fine margins that were there in terms of results and sometimes it does not go in your way but in terms of the progression, I think that was there,”

Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah, who wasn’t that effective for the team as he remained wicket-less throughout the series. The series turned out to be one of the worst performances of Jasprit Bumrah, who is currently receiving criticism from all the ends for his performance. However, despite his poor performance, Kane Williamson termed the pacer as the ‘world-class’ bowler. Showering praises on him, Williamson said:
“We know that Bumrah is a world-class bowler in all formats. He obviously came back to cricket after a period of time off as well but from what I saw, he is bowling really nicely,”
