Meanwhile, former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen has spotted two of them in the first half of the ongoing season of the league and has even gone on to compare one of the talented cricketers to the legendary Yuvraj Singh in a mind-boggling remark.

KP heaped praise on IPL 2023 for letting the homegrown talents flourish so far. Pietersen compared the Chennai Super Kings’ newest star, Shivam Dube to the batting legend Yuvraj Singh. Just like the former Indian all-rounder, Shivam too is left-handed and is a medium pacer as well although MS Dhoni is yet to make use of his bowling services.
Pietersen’s remark came after Dube’s stunning run in the first half of the ongoing tournament. So far, in the ongoing tournament, Dube has amassed 236 runs in seven innings at a strike rate of 157.33 with three half-centuries. He has been single-handedly leading the charge of Chennai Super Kings in the middle overs as the team stands 3rd in the points table after 9 games.
