Tonight, the stage was all set for the second round of the qualifiers between the teams, Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals at the very famous Eden Gardens of Kolkata. The players of Rajasthan Royals are now officially out of the race as they failed to chase the target runs of 169 by 25 runs.
The skipper of the team, Ajinkya Rahane opened the innings and scored 46 runs off 41 balls.While the other opener, Rahul Tripathi was dismissed after playing a few balls. He scored 20 runs off the 13 balls.
Sanju Samson, once again gave a brilliant performance and scored 50 runs off the 38 balls he played. With the strike rate of 131 he smashed 4 fours and 2 sixes. He stretched the scores but anyhow the team failed to chase the target runs.

The bowlers of Kolkata Knight Riders gave an amazing performance by not allowing the players of Rajasthan Royals free runs.
Earlier, the first innings started off with a blow for Kolkata Knight Riders as their opener, Sunil Narine got dismissed after couple of balls. He scored 4 runs in 2 balls. Chris Lynn, on the other hand played a slow knock and scored 18 off 22 balls. The skipper of the team, Dinesh Karthik scored 52 runs in 38 balls, he was dismissed after he was caught out by Ajinkya Rahane. With the strike rate of 136, DK smashed 4 fours and 2 sixes. Shubman Gill scored 28 runs off 17 balls he played.

Andre Russell played an absolute wonderful innings and took the scores up with a storm. He remained unbeaten at the score of 49 runs that he made in 28 balls. With the powerful strike rate of 196, he smashed 3 fours and 5 sixes.
