Riding on the batting heroics of Rinku Singh, Kolkata Knight Riders won a nail-biting high-scoring clash against Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Rinku played one of the greatest finishes in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL) as he produced an unbelievable knock.
Rinku smashed five successive sixes when the side needed 28 to win off the last five balls. India’s uncapped player Yash Dayal was at the receiving end of an exhibition in power-hitting from Rinku, as Kolkata Knight Riders registered an unbelievable three-wicket victory over the defending champions.
The Gujarat Titans were comfortably cruising towards a comfortable win by the end of the 18th over. GT’s stand-in-captain Rashid Khan had taken a hat trick just off the previous over and it almost looked over for KKR. However, Rinku turned the tables and stole the victory.
Rinku’s onslaught left Rashid and the entire Titans team stunned. KKR needed 29 runs off the last over, which seemed like a bit too much, however, Rinku unleashed the beast in him as he smashed the left-arm pacer Yash Dayal for five sixes on the trot to register a last-ball victory.

Meanwhile, following his knock, social media went into a frenzy. From celebrities to cricketers and experts of the game, everyone took to twitter and hailed the performance of KKR’s young batter. However, one of the most special Tweets came from the Indian and MI captain Rohit Sharma.Â
Rohit Sharma took to his official Twitter account and wrote a special tweet for Rinku. In his Tweet, he praised the Indian Premier League and hailed Rinku for his ‘unbelievable’ innings. He also backed Yash after he had a rough outing in the game. He wrote:
