KKR vs SRH: Memes On Mitchell Starc Go Viral After He Concedes 53 Runs In His Four Overs – The third match of the 2024 Indian Premier League reached a tense crescendo when Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders met at Eden Gardens. With Andre Russell guiding the charge with 64 runs off 25 balls, the Kolkata Knight Riders set a lofty target of 209 runs. The impressive score was bolstered by Phil Salt’s consistent 54 runs off 40 balls and Rinku Singh’s quick 23 runs off 15 balls.

Sunrisers Hyderabad started their chase, but they were up against it with KKR’s bowling assault. The tide swung in SRH’s favour as Heinrich Klaasen scored an explosive 63 off 29 balls and Shahbaz Ahmed scored a quickfire 16 off 5 balls, after a rough start.

Cricket, however, is full of unexpected turns, and Harshit Rana of KKR came up big in the last over, keeping his cool to lead his side to a thrilling 4-run win. The electrifying victory by KKR displayed the unpredictable aspect of Twenty20 cricket and had spectators glued to their seats right up until the last ball, causing the stadium to explode in celebration.

After KKR paid an unprecedented Rs 24.75 crore to acquire Starc in the IPL 2024 auction, the team’s fans were eagerly anticipating his debut. It was a bumpy road for him in his debut game. His ineffective performance, which included giving up 53 runs in four overs without picking up a wicket, did not justify his high price tag. Not only that, but he allowed 26 runs in the 19th over, which only made matters worse.

As the match went on, supporters vented their anger and disappointment on social media, and Starc became a target of online trolls due to his underwhelming performance. His debut was under the microscope, yet neither he nor his supporters were satisfied. Starc’s struggle with conceding runs at over 11 per over at the death in T20 matches over the past year or so highlights his ongoing issue with death bowling, intensifying concerns about his effectiveness in crucial moments.
