Ahead of the much-awaited 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League, Kolkata Knight Riders have suffered a huge blow by the Bangladesh Cricket Board. BCB has granted a No Objection Certificate to two of their star players — Shakib Al Hasan and Litton Kumar Das to participate in IPL 2023, which is all set to kickstart from March 31st onwards.
KKR is all set to miss this Bangladeshi duo for some matches as the Bangladesh Cricket Board has not granted them the NOC.

While Litton Das was expected to open the innings for KKR this time, on the other hand, Shakib Al Hasan is a crucial player for the team. He has been one of the best all-rounders of the game. He is a crucial player for Kolkata Knight Riders.
Shakib has been the number one all-rounder in T20 for a long time and he has set a precedent in ICC matches. Apart from his amazing performances both with the bat and the ball, he also has leadership skills.
Captain Shreyas Also Ruled Out
Earlier KKR’s regular skipper, Shreyas Iyer was ruled out of the tournament owing to a back injury. Now if Shakib and Litton will also miss the games, KKR will be in some deep trouble. It is yet not known when Shakib and Litton will join KKR. In fact, Shakib could have been a good replacement option for the position of captaincy in the absence of Shreyas.
Now KKR not just have to look for a new captain before the tournament begins but will also have to find a few potential replacements.
