KL Rahul Gives A Strong Warning To England Players: The Indian cricket team gave a terrific team performance to defeat the England cricket team. Though India’s win looked like the last possibility, but this is a different Indian who put up a stellar show and pulled things back into place.

KL Rahul Gives A Strong Warning To England Players

After the match, during the post-match presentation, India’s opening batsman KL Rahul, who scored a stunning century in the first innings, dropped a subtle warning to his opponents. Talking about the on-field banters between both the teams, that took place during the match, KL Rahul made it very clear that if the hosts were to go after one of the players from their side, all eleven would come right back at them. He said:

“That’s what you expect with two competitive teams, you know, you are always going to see great skills, a lot of heart and a few words as well. That only shows how much both team wants to win. We don’t mind a little bit of banter. And, you go after one of our guys, all 11 of us will come right back at them”

For the unversed, a verbal banter took place during the match first between James Anderson and Virat Kohli, later on, between James and Jasprit Bumrah. After his verbal spat with Bumrah, the whole England team was seen trying to back him by going after Bumrah and Shami during India’s second innings.

Though KL Rahul acknowledged that the banters were a part and parcel of the game but drawing a line on “a little bit of banter.”

However, that backfired back at the England cricket team as both the pacers put up a stellar performance and played a crucial role in India’s victory. Rahul added that on-field banters had boosted the bowlers even more. He said:

“That just got us going and the bowlers were really pumped and wanted to go out there and have a real crack at them. Really happy with the performance they have put in this game,”

Meanwhile, the Indian cricket team will be locking its horns with England in the upcoming third Test match, which will kickstart from 25th August in Leeds.
