One game that the cricketers of India love apart from what gives them their bread and butter, is football.

Most of the Indian players have cited football as one of their main warm-up routines as it helps in getting their muscles going before a long session in the nets. Players like Dhoni were football players at school level before making the jump to cricket.

A few years back, the members of the Indian team played in a football match against celebrities and members of a football team.

In this particular video, we can see the Indian cricket team score a nicely worked goal, finished by KL Rahul.

KL Rahul is one of the finest batsmen in India and he is regarded as the next big thing of Indian cricket. Rahul is technically very strong and he plays good cricket across all three formats of the game. But, this post isn’t about his batting.

Flowing move…sort of:

Starting from the right flank, MS Dhoni dribbles before passing the ball to Virat Kohli. The Indian batsman then loses the ball which goes to the opposition. The opposition squander possession again till it reaches Shikhar Dhawan.

Dhawan tussles against the defender who is trying to pull him down and manages well to hold off the strong challenge. He then passes the ball to KL Rahul who side foots it emphatically home.

The goal is a really well-constructed one and shows the Indian players are no slouches when it comes to the football pitch as well.

KL Rahul then proceeds to celebrate the goal in front of the jubiliant crowd and it is all in good spirit as it sets up a nice finish to the remaining ten minutes of the game.

The game was played for charity and shows that cricketers can shift fields whenever they feel like. Watch the video here:
