Riding on the stunning half-century from the opening batter – Ben McDermott, the hots posted a total of 149 runs in the first innings. Talking about the game, Adam Zampa won the Man of the Match for his 3/18. Later, speaking about the performance during the post-match conference, Zampa said:
“It’s a world class bowling attack. To have those guys up the other end building pressure. That pressure built up tonight and I was lucky enough to be on the end of a couple of wickets.”
