Just two weeks after his injury, Ravindra Jadeja is back in top form, showcasing the effectiveness of BCCI’s medical team at the NCA and his own remarkable resilience. Ahead of the third Test in Rajkot, teammate Kuldeep Yadav has practically assured Jadeja’s presence in the playing XI.
“I think so. He did his routine and had a session yesterday too,” said the left-arm wrist spinner in the pre-match press conference in Rajkot.
With key batters Virat Kohli and KL Rahul sidelined for the India vs England 3rd Test, the team relies heavily on its most versatile player, Ravindra Jadeja. As both a proficient batsman and bowler, Jadeja’s presence offers captain Rohit Sharma numerous strategic options to bolster the team’s performance.
The presence of Ravindra Jadeja, alongside Ravichandran Ashwin and Axar Patel, significantly enhances Team India’s batting and bowling capabilities. His versatility allows the team to balance their lineup by including an extra batter or bowler, thereby strengthening their overall composition.
Furthermore, Jadeja’s wealth of experience, spanning 15 years in international cricket, proves invaluable, particularly in the absence of key players like Virat Kohli and KL Rahul in the batting department, and Mohammed Shami as a bowling spearhead. His seasoned presence provides stability and leadership, offering guidance to captain Rohit Sharma and the rest of the team during crucial moments in the match.
