International Council of Cricket (ICC) have announced the latest rankings for One Day International (ODI) cricket. South Africa is still the number 1 team with 6386 points, followed by India who just registered a thrilling 2-1 series win against New Zealand. Interestingly, both, India and South Africa, have 120 rating points.
Also, Sri Lanka and West Indies are below Bangladesh in the latest ICC ODI rankings, at number 8 and 9 respectively.

Indian captain Virat Kohli is the bomber 1 ODI batsman in the list. He is ahead of South Africa’s ace batman AB de Villiers. Kohli performed brilliantly in the recently concluded ODI series and even won the man of the series trophy. Rohit Sharma, who scored a brilliant hundred in the last match of the series, is the only other Indian batsman in this list. He is at number 7 position with 799 points to his credit.

Pakistan’s Hasan Ali is the new number 1 ODI bowler in the world. His rise in international cricket from absolutely nothing to one of the most promising fast bowlers in the world is one of the best cricketing stories of 2017. India’s Jasprit Bumrah is at number 3 position and Axar Patel, who is India’s most successful spinner of 2017 in ODI cricket, is at number 8 position.

Pakistan’s Mohamad Hafeez has once again climbed to the top of the ladder in the list of ICC ODI rankings for all-rounders. He is closely followed by Bangladesh’s Shakib AL Hasan. There is no Indian all-rounder in this list.
