After their thumping win against arch-rivals India in the final of ICC Champions Trophy 2017, Pakistan have climbed 2 spots up in the latest ICC ODI Rankings. Pakistan stunned one and all with their unbelievably good performance on the big day. They not only defeated India but outplayed them in all three departments of the game.
The top three spots haven’t changed as South Africa, Australia and India retained their number 1, 2 and 3 spot respectively. England and New Zealand have also retained ground in fourth and fifth spot respectively.

In the bowling department, Australia’s fast bowler Josh Hazlewood is the number ODI bowler in the world. He is closely followed by South Africa’s Imran Tahir. Interestingly, there is no Indian bowler in this list.

In the batting department, Indian captain Virat Kohli is at the top of the table. Kohli, who played a couple of very good innings in ICC Champions trophy 2017 is at the number 1 spot with 861 points. He is closely followed by Australian opener David Warner, who is at number 2 position with 861 points. Pakistan’s young batsman Babar Azam has climbed up and reached the number 5th spot in the latest ICC ODI rankings.
