Dear fans of CSK,
It must feel ecstatic to be a part of the grand finale again and why not, Chennai has made that very spot their signature own. If the Yellow Army somehow doesn’t make it to a season’s finale, that is where it feels odd, not when you power back to your phenomenal best.
However, here is a thing that we probably should talk about. Maybe at the moment, it is covered in a heap of ashes but on one fine day, that heap need to be removed and the bitter music will have to be faced. It is about Ravindra Jadeja.

The iconic left-handed all-rounder who has been one of your dearest ever since the time he has joined the ranks and believe this or not but he cannot be dropped. Probably in the last couple of seasons, things have gone downhill a bit and he isn’t making all those glittering headlights that he was destined for but then time and time again, he has managed to rock the show with very crucial tidbits that would probably feel inconsequential in the face of all those monstrous knocks and spells and yet you take it away from the equation, you would know that the heights scaled by CSK of late would not have been possible.
You can attribute countless reasons to the same but then again, the major disbelief in him kickstarted back in 2022 when he fluffed things up as the CSK skipper. Now one needs to realise, filling in those humongous boots of MS Dhoni isn’t a cakewalk. It probably may take someone a few years to just comprehend the sheer magnitude of the onus on his shoulders. We do not produce a MS Dhoni every alternate day. The man is a crucible from the prancing fires that would consume anyone who is nowhere close to the kind of mental strength that is possessed by MS Dhoni. So wasn’t Ravindra Jadeja. Captaincy is altogether a different ball game and believe this or not but Jadeja probably needed more time than what you would have expected.
However, that doesn’t reduce him by any chance as a cricketer. He is one of the finest all-rounders of the side and will be hoping to dish out the best possible numbers every time his team needs him. Being the second highest wicket taker of the side, Jadeja bagged 19 wickets while also chiming in with 175 runs whenever his team needed him to.
More importantly, we all know the kind of gun fielder that he is and nothing, absolutely nothing bogs him down in the face of pressure. So, you have someone who is actually the leadership material can very well be the next captain of the side. In case if you are still wondering that whether Ravindra Jadeja is the horses for courses for you, yes he is.
Yours sincerely,
A crazy cricket fan
