However, all his efforts went in vain as his team Royal Challengers Bangalore were knocked out of the IPL 2023 playoff race as they suffered a loss against defending champions Gujarat Titans at the MA Chinnaswamy Stadium on Sunday.

Riding on the stellar knock by Kohli, RCB posted a total of 197 runs on the scoreboard, however, GT bettered this target in just 19.1 overs to seal the win and extend their lead at the top of the points table.
Though, Kohli and his team couldn’t reach the playoff stage, but the former skipper has been receiving praise from all over for his sensational knock. Kohli played an unbeaten knock of 101 runs off 61 balls, smashing 13 fours and 1 six.

Meanwhile, talking about the game, Shubman Gill played a sensational knock that eventually crushed the hopes of Royal Challengers Bangalore to make it to the playoffs. Gill played a stunning knock of 104 runs off 52 balls, smashing 5 fours and 8 sixes.
RCB’s wait to win the IPL trophy will continue till next year now as their campaign in the ongoing season came to an end on a disappointing note.
