Madhav Sharma Points Out Why ICC Is Spoiling The Game Of Cricket: In a shocking turn of events, South Africa wicketkeeper-batsman Quinton de Kock pulled out of South Africa’s T20 World Cup 2021 fixture against West Indies due to his decision to not take a knee. Well, several countries have taken a knee to support and commend their support to the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement.

However, when it comes to South Africa, it is a very tricky situation. While most of the South African players have shown their support to the movement by taking a knee during several events, but there has always been an exception — Quinton de Kock. But de Kock has been the exception from the side as he has refused to adopt any gesture to support this movement.

Madhav Sharma Points Out Why ICC Is Spoiling The Game Of Cricket

Ahead of the South Africa vs West Indies, when the CSA made it compulsory for its players to take a knee before the match, the situation became so tricky for de Kock that he had to withdraw himself from the game.

Meanwhile, fans on social media were left disappointed at the ICC for putting players in a situation like that. Fans came up with different reactions, while many trolled the ICC for forcing players to take part in the movement, on the other hand, many trolled Quinton de Kock for not taking a part in the movement.

Among many, a popular Twitter user and cricket enthusiast Madhav Sharma also took to his Twitter and slammed the ICC on this matter. In his tweet, he revealed how the ICC is spoiling the beautiful game of cricket. He wrote:

“Quinton de Kock getting drop for not taking the knee is so so wrong. Why are people being forced to prove themselves like this, @icc? All this is spoiling our beautiful game. STOP IT before it gets too late.”
