Senior BJP Leader Backs Virender Sehwag In The Most Strong Way

Senior BJP Leader Backs Virender Sehwag In The Most Strong Way: Babar Azam-led Pakistan cricket team registered a historic win by defeating the Indian cricket team by 10 wickets. The win was special in every way for Pakistan as it was the first time in the history of this game that Pakistan was able to defeat India in any T20 World Cup 2021.

Following the victory, the streets of Pakistan were set with firecrackers, and fans celebrated the win like a festival. However, what left everyone shocked was seeing a few people from India also celebrating Pakistan’s win.

Former Indian cricketer and batting legend Virender Sehwag took no time in pointing out the hypocrisy of some people. He took to his Twitter and mocked the ban on firecrackers during Diwali. He wrote:

“Firecrackers are banned during Diwali but yesterday in parts of India there were firecrackers to celebrate Pakistan’s victory. Achha (okay) they must have been celebrating victory of cricket. Toh (then), what’s the harm in fireworks on Diwali. Hypocrisy kyun, saara gyaan tab hi yaad aata hai (Why the hypocrisy? Everyone remembers to impart knowledge only around this time),”

His tweet went viral in no time and was flooded with reactions from the fans to it. While many applauded the cricketer for calling out the hypocrisy, there were many who slammed the cricketer left, right, and center.

Amidst all this, a senior BJP Leader BL Santhosh came out in support of the cricketer. In his Tweet, BL Santhosh slammed a Twitter user who asked Sehwag and former Pakistani skipper Waqar Younis to leave for Mars. He wrote:

“With every word of yours you expose yourself. What was the mistake of @virendersehwag. If at all packing off is needed it’s more for you .”
